Have an old euro mount that I’d like to see as a shoulder mount.

Didn’t want to roll the dice on a potluck cape from “some guy”.

Does anyone know where you can shop for them?

A taxidermist who sells them?

Hope everyone is having a good season so far cheers

I've purchased multiple capes from Double Nickle taxidermy in New Braunfels in the past. They take really good care of their capes. It would be worth a call to see what they have.

I would suggest checking with your local taxi also. They should all have extra capes. If that does not pan out, I have used Moscow Hide and Fur, or East Coast Capes with good luck but they are a little pricey. Be aware that these two probably will not have white-tail capes from Texas, but they are usually beautiful thick furred capes.

I would be inclined to think someone here could supply you with a properly shot WT cape, albeit a green cape.
The not from Texas warning from Big W is good. You should seek a cape from the general area from where the antler came from.
Eye to nose measurements should be specified to be sure you get a cape from a deer of similar age.......mounting a 5 y/o skull plate to a 2 y/o cape will look bad, as it is likely the antler burrs/pedicels are much larger on the older critter.
Most Taxidermists will have an extra cape or two in the freezer
