My rifle fell off my four wheeler while I was loading a hog and the illumination knob on my Elite Tactical SMRS hit the engine and got knocked off its threads and now it doesn't work. Anyone ever dealt with their "Iron Clad Warranty"? What's the turnaround time if I send it in? I'll deal with it after deer season.

Will never buy a Bushnell again. Had binos that the connection to the adjustment between the two eye pieces broke. Were about 2 years old. Called and they said beyond warranty but they would sell me a new one at cost. Bought the original set from Cabelas on sale. The price they gave me at cost was 2x what I paid originally,

I am now committed to Vortex who recently fell over themselves to replace a pair of 10x42 diamond backs. Called, they sent me a label as I had no printer at my cabin, and retuned a new pair i less then 10 days.

Bushnell’s iron clad warranty and lifetime warranty only covers certain products.
I purchased an Equinox Z infrared monocular that would not turn on just after the 1 year warranty expired. I’ve read that this was a common problem with the 1st generation Equinox Z models. The newer generation models corrected the problem but those customers that bought the first generation models are out of luck after their 1year warranty expires.

I sent a product to them to fix with a very detailed explanation of what was wrong with. Wasn’t even looking for warranty work. I just wanted it fixed, even if it cost me. They just sent it back and said it worked fine. Didn’t even try. So, good luck!

I have no idea about their optics but they are great on their cellular cams.

Interesting story, Flashprism - My Busnell warranty story was with laser rangefinders. Fell in the Platte. Fairly new Bushnell rangefinder that I had purchased a few months prior. Told them the truth (thats the way I roll). As soon as I mentioned water and their electronics, we were done. They didn't even know my name as a prior customer but they would sell me one at cost. Called Vortex told them what happened. Asked them how my story would've ended with them. They said "even electronics - send it in. If can't fix a new one will come back." Ordered one that day and have never looked back (at least on rangefinders). Warranty on optics has competition but electronics, I have found no one that will match the lifetime clause. Actually, that Bushnell rangefinder was a pretty nice one but there will never be another Bushnell anything in my stable.

The best warranty is one you don’t have to use.

That saying is a good one to live by until you introduce electronics to a product. Electronics can and will die under the right circumstances no matter who made them. I believe rangefinding binoculars would be wonderful but you would want to see where the manufacturer stands on the electronics before you purchase an expensive pair of binoculars that are tied to the rangefinder. At least I would. For the record, my binos survived the dunking. They were Cabela's Alaskan Guides (I'm not sure they even make them any more and they were very inexpensive) I happened to have with me that day. My Zeiss HD's were at home.
