Does anybody know the cross streets or what restaurant are in that area?

Almost as crazy as Globe Life Field only having one playoff win and being home to a World Series Championship Team.

EDIT: That'd be good trivia I don't have time to research: What MLB stadiums have the fewest wins for their championship team.

I rode DART downtown from Carrollton in 2011 when the Mavs won their championship. It was a great time but insanely crowded. I’ll pass this time around as I don’t feel like messing with the sea of people.

They'll probably just take a big lap around the Stadium. That way they can use all the Globe Life and Jerry World parking. Wish I could get off work and go.

Arlington parade routes would be limited. Ft Worth would probably be better. Saturday would be better too.

In Arlington, it can start at a car lot and end at Panchos.

'Bout 2 p.m. Arlington ISD announced "no school" for Friday.

If I were going I'd stake out one of the corners on the parade route. I figure they have to slow down to make the turn.

Arlington, Mansfield, and Grand Prairie ISD's are closed tomorrow due to the parade. Why didn't the Rangers have it on Saturday so more folks could turn out? Just another dumb move on someone's part. I'll be at the lease anyways.

I'm not sure what the thinking was having it on a Friday, but yeah. Wish the university had closed, but they did not so I am working...not looking forward to the traffic, so I'll get in an hour or so earlier than needed.

As to the question of restaurants and such. There are numerous chain restaurants around the stadium. I try not to eat over there very often, just due to the traffic on Collins Street. Just know that the cops are out and about in Arlington and watch your speed.

Good chargrilled burger. Try Airways. Nothing fancy meat is a little thin but the guy actually cooks the burgers over real charcoal briquettes.

They are pretty good, prices are decent as well.

Hurtado's BBQ isn't too far either, been getting a lot of buzz in the last year or two.

If you aren't wanting anything special, I've heard they're supposed to have some of the old stadium open for restrooms and concessions. Probably going to be the most convenient option. Just depends what you seek.
