Who has used a heated vest and are they worth the money?

My wife loves her Orpro..Got it off Amazon, there are plenty of dupes on Amazon that are probably as good. They work pretty well

I’m not a fan. There’s enough stuff to keep charged without bringing clothing into the equation.

I have the Milwaukee jacket. It is absolutely amazing.

I bought one last year and liked it. Not that big of an issue of charging it as you just put it by your phone when you go to bed.

Got one this spring and getting ready to try it out in a few weeks in Kansas.

Wife got one last year, I used it a couple times when she wasn't hunting. It helped quite a bit.

Side note if you are on blood thinners GET ONE, she bought me one for this year. USB battery packs work with these and they are cheap enough.

Never got to try it out this year in Kansas, Temps got to 70* almost everyday.

I have 2 of the Milwaukee hood jackets, battery doesn’t last long enough AND a bigger battery is uncomfortable large… but…. They surely help!

What size battery are you using and how long did it last? I have a bunch of the 12 amp batteries and I’ve been curious how long one would last.

We have a couple heated vests they do help, Depending on what setting a USB battery pack we have with it as a mid layer on low will keep you pretty toasty and run on low 6=8 hours or more. Worth it in real cold weather IMO being on blood thinners for sure makes me that much colder.

I have the regular M12 battery it came with, anything larger and it digs into my back or side.

Typically get about 2.5 hours on high.

I have tried 2. Can't stand them. First is the special care instructions for washing something with a sewn-in wiring/heating harness. Second, me (my body) doesn't like dealing with being toasty and sweaty in one area and freezing elsewhere. Worked better for sitting in a stand rather than stalking because of this. Very easy to get too hot in select areas. Batteries usually died at the wrong times. If you are relying on the electricity for warmth and you have been enjoying the warmth from the electricity, you will very quickly regret the battery going dead on you.

If you can make it work for you, that is great. It just wasn't a good fit for me. I find it easier just to put a handwarmer in my chest pockets or kangaroo pouch and warm my hands as needed and get some addition core warming along the way. They are good for 12 hours but will work up to 18.

Oddly enough living in the great white north have never tried one. Generally though never met a cold day that couldn't be beat with some Merino and/or Alpaca wool and 850+ loft goose down. Not a fan of synthetics either although i make an exception where Gore-Tex is concerned. Most synthetics are a poor imitation of something mother nature does better.

I got one for Christmas this year. We went to Red River N.M. First week in January and temperatures were around 10 degrees in morning. I didn’t think I would like wearing the heated vest but it was great. Battery lasted longer than I expected.

A buddy got me a heated vest as a gift for taking him hunting last fall. Cheap Chinese POS would not even turn on and would not charge. Also, horrible stitching. I guess you get what you pay for. He was embarrassed when I told him I don't want it, so he literally threw it in the trash can instead of trying to return it on Amazon.

A puffy vest will keep you just as warm and no batteries.

Everyone I have asked up here like them but don't think they are using them for hunting.
