You should see what the electric company did to my 200+ year old oak tree up front. They cut it in half. Beautiful, huge oak. Believe it or not it still produces acorns.

I assure you I’m on your side in this situation, we rarely have to remove big mature trees like this one but the powers that be wanted it gone so it went to tree heaven so the check cleared.

Not upset in anyway with you about it, OT- you were contracted to do a job. Just a shame there's never a better plan from the people that want it gone, such as saving the lumber in this case. But, others will grow eventually.
