I have just started playing with my newly built 6Creed ( Savage 10 243 Rebarrel ) I started out not having any components to handload with and I noticed that Atwood's had a bunch of the Hornady Black 105 BTHP for $26 a box, so I got a few of those to start with. I'm not the most experienced but I have never had a new barrel shoot as good as this one did, especially on factory ammo. I have since acquired a few components and might like to duplicate that factory load, which moves @ just under 2900FPS. Looks like I can do that with either 6.5 Stabal or H4350. I might like to try some other projectiles and was wondering if some of you might share some info on some you have had luck with ?

I'm shooting a custom rifle with a 26" Bartlein barrel. Don't have anything loaded for this barrel that runs sub 3000 MV. I'm using strictly Hornady brass and bullets. Below are the loads I'm using, all with H4350, hope this provides something useful. BTW, I don't hunt, just target & PRS shoot.
Match 105's BTHP, 40.3 Gr, 3064 MV
Match 105's BTHP, 42.2 Gr, 3185 MV
Match 108 ELDM's 40.2 Gr, 3040 MV
These are all in a new barrel after replacing my old barrel. My old barrel I was using 110 Gr A-tips (I started reloading when this was the only Hornady bullet available in 6 creed) and the load was 40.7 Gr running 2964 MV.
All of these loads easily shoot sub .1/2 MOA and all shoot better than I do.
Hope this helps.

My wife is currently shooting a Browning X Bolt in 6 CM with a 22" barrel. The rifle has never seen a factory load and her gun is really happy right at 3,000 fps. We only hunt with this rifle and here are a couple loads that it really likes.
103 ELD-X, 41.0 grains RL-16 produces a repeatable .80 moa group at 2,997 fps and low SD and ES numbers.
95 Nosler BT, 43.7 grains StaBall 6.5 @ 3001.0 fps. About .80 moa groups and lights out SD and ES.
Oddly enough, this rifle hates and I mean hates the 90 grain Swift Scirroco II bullets. Nothing under 1.5 moa and numbers all over the place.
I bet you will find something your rifle likes somewhere around 2,800 fps and 3,000 fps. Those speeds seem to be the sweet spot with this round.
Have fun, stay safe and work up to any of the loads you see here.
