I am not exactly sure how long ago this was but I am thinking in 2000 - 2002 time frame. This buck was killed by on a friend of mine on his ranch in La Salle Count. We called this buck the Roamer...when we pulled trail camera film(this ages it pretty well) and developed the photos...this buck had been at 4 protein feeders in an 8 hour span that same night and morning he was killed. All feeders were over a mile apart and in a basic rectangle pattern. What was really interesting was the fact this buck field dressed 208 lbs at 5 yrs of age in a very wet summer and fall. He scored around 177 or 178 gross IIRC with great mass...with the body size of this buck these photos do not show that score. These were photos taken with a 35mm camera that I scanned the old photos into my desktop.

Awesome deer, like everyone else mentioned cool character. For me the coolest thing is all the trash and stickers around his brow tines.

I’m only 40 but saying a photo from 2002 is old is not making me feel very good about my age lol.

I was 44 to 46 yrs old at that time...so it depends on how you look at it. From your view you can't see into the future 20+ yrs now.... I can look back to easily 20 yrs to see and feel the changes.

Wow. Early 2000s is not too much of a throw back as I too can easily remember hunts back 40+ years now...unfortunately time is passing fast. I enjoy the older photos

Interesting how much he traveled. I have a few bucks that seem to show up on my camera about once a week. It makes me wonder how far they are traveling.
