Has the rut started in your hunting area yet? Have you seen any pre-rut activity?

I’ve seen a couple of small bucks bumping does but that’s about it…

It’s firing up here, watched 3 bucks running a doe this morning and one of my shooters showed up 2 days ago with a busted main beam in Oklahoma so I’d say it’s about to get rolling. This weekend should be pretty good hunting unless the tornadoes blow all of them away.

Main rut is the same time every year here. Begins the second week of November, 3rd weekend is dead in the middle 4th weekend it's winding down. Every now and then there'll be an early Doe. I live on the ranch and have been sitting and watching every morning since Sunday, Bucks aren't paying any attention to Does here, yet.

They are taking a break in the neighborhood now, after rutting hard last week of October.

I’m sitting here looking at 17 does and 5 bucks. The bucks are grouped up about 70 yards from the does. Reminds me of a Jr. High school dance.

Exactly what I am seeing where I am. Big flurry of activity last week of October and has now slowed down.
