i got drawn for this hunt. anyone have details about the Javelina in this area? I worked a ranch in west Texas where they were as thick as pigs and just wanting to know what I'm getting into down there.

Bring a lot of corn to lightly corn all of the roads within our compartment. Sit at a crossroads or spot where you can see a long way. Walk around and check any spots you can't see periodically. If there's javelina in your compartment they'll eventually find the corn. Some compartments have more javelina than others, some have few if any.
You may see more pigs than javelina. Shoot them.

Seen big pack of regularly hogs, turkey, n ton of deer the two times I've gotten drawn n standby there don't shoot the hogs in the head with crossbow it bounces right off lol if u find a monster buck with a rage crossbow tip n broken bolt in his mid upper back that's my buck lol

I have deer hunted there twice. Saw Javelina both times. I assume there is a pretty decent population of them there.

lots of coyotes also, they are on the menu as well. lodging in Tilden has plenty options.
