I don't know anymore what access to a range should cost & what ranges I should expect to be able to use. My local club closed down when Covid hit & I've been looking for an alternative ever since. I'm not a long range shooter but 100, 200 & 300 yards are what I like to shoot. I mostly shoot 100 yd off a bench doing load development - that's the fun for me. I have several rifles I never got loads fully "dialed" in especially without access to a lot of different powders. I've been a member at Copperhead Creek range for two years at $325/year. I hate their 100 yd range set-up. You can't get your vehicle close to the shooting area & member days are Mon & Tue (i.e. not too busy). I haven't shot enough to come out cost-wise but the member days Mon & Tue appeal to me. I've recently found out about the RPR range near where I live, but I haven't visited there yet. Membership cost at RPR is $600/year plus $30 safety course(?) RPR has ranges out to 1 mile! They are only open Thu through Sun.

What do you shooters pay to shoot? Have any of you THF'ers ever been a member or shot at the RPR range? If so what are your comments.

TIA

I shot a long range match out there in 2018. It's a cool place. I don't have enough spare time to shoot enough to pay $600/yr to be a member anywhere.

My neighbor told me they have a range in Llano that is only $50. It may be handgun only< I havent tried it yet.
