So what will you be looking for buy? Will other online retailers run their own online sales, much like happens with an the store competition on Black Friday?

Or did I miss it?

They raise prices before prime day and bring them back to normal or above pricing. Do price comparisons. It's also used to sell dead inventory with a lot of people seeing sell price and wanting to buy it because they see "sell price".

I wish you didn't have to pay sales tax for online items, that was the one of the best things about one lines purchases

I tend to shop alot online from Walmart, it's only like 5 minutes from my house. But the online store has much more product choices, and half the time they deliver same day for no extra charge via door Dash.

I have no clue how they survive with free shipping for over $35 in my area.

I've found Amazon takes on more accountability for the retailers who are sometimes responsible for packing and shipping items to you. They also take greater accountability for shipping. I'm not a Prime member, but it didn't stop them from giving me a refund on the shipping cost for an item that arrived late. And I didn't even need to ask for the refund.

As for Walmart, I once had an item never show up and they basically told me it's between me and the retailer who sold it to me through their online ordering process. In retrospect, always using the Ship to Store option might be the best way to combat that. If it never shows up at the store, the issue is on them and they must refund your money if it never shows.

Ha! That’s nothing…completely flat. I bought 18 months ago at $1700. Like them or not, AMZN has changed retail forever. I can order something right now from my phone and it will be delivered by the time I wake up tomorrow.

I compare prices on everything. Sometimes AMZN is better, sometimes not. Often I’ll go with a competitor if they can provide quick free shipping.

Sears Roebuck was once the catalog king when it came to ordering what you needed around the home. In fact, their tagline was "Sears has everything." While the leadership at Sears was asleep at the wheel, Jeff Bezos created an online catalog like no other.

The garbage truck came by yesterday. They skipped my neighbor. This is what an Amazon looks like.

Maybe your neighbor should consider recycling?

As an aside, there are thousands of small businesses that sell via Amazon. I just now got a $10 credit to use on Prime Day just for making a purchase from a small business. I didn't even know I was getting the credit until I just saw the email. Offer looks to be good to Prime members who purchase goods from small businesses through 6/20.
