Looks like 174 now. I wonder if it has plateaued. Maybe we will get some more responses.

And hopefully if either of you do contract it you will breeze through it and not be one of the ones that was young, perfectly healthy, and got very, very sick or even died.

Not all that have gotten extremely sick or died from it had pre-existing conditions.

Last, what I think you gain by getting vaccinated is that if you do contract it after being vaccinated you do not get as sick as what I've stated above happened to some folks. You may get a little sick but not end up in the hospital or worse.

And are any of the 3 extremely sick to the point they have to be hospitalized?

Doesn't keep you from getting it, just supposed to limit a possible harsh reaction to it.

EXACTLY

Hopefully it keeps those that get it after being vaccinated from ending up on a ventilator and or dying.

I won’t get the vaccine. I encourage anyone scared of that to steer clear of me. Thanks.

17 mask wearing relatives of mine had the virus. One obese and very unhealthy lady in-law went to the hospital for safety sake. She never got real sick, though we thought she’d be the one to worry about. My Dallas daughter has a bazillion underlying conditions, and she caught it. She had a low fever for two days, real tired, aches and pains, and a sore throat, but that was it. We had worried about her too. Nobody else was very sick at all. A sister bitched loudly about loss of taste and small, as did a few others that had it.

The consensus was that it was nowhere as bad as a bad case of the Flu.

The wife and I are aren’t worried enough to trust an experimental vaccine. What we do worry about is the two granddaughters of baby-making age that got the shots. And they both had the virus too, but it’s long term side effects from the shot that concern us.

The wife went to the beauty shop a month or so ago. Her beautician won’t wear a mask and she was hacking and coughing in the early stages of the virus. My wife didn’t catch it.

I think this whole thing is oversold. Yes, people died from it, but it’s complete BS that 500,000 people were killed by it, when NOBODY had the flu this year.

Wear a mask. Wear two of them. Wear them in the car. All that mask does is make you look silly. It won’t save you from anything but eating and kissing.

I am sooooooo tired of this political virus fear mongering by the media and the idiots presently in power. They have an agenda, I am quite certain of that. I’m not your typical tin foil on the head type guy, but as Sherlock Holmes used to say “something is afoot”

Anyone who doesn't want to get the vaccine, then don't. Anyone who does, then go get it. Pretty simple really. Seems like a lot of folks want to get in other people's business though.

Im healthy and have always felt bullet proof. I know im not but I feel that way so I never really give getting the vax much thought. I can tend to procrastinate as well so theres that. Anyway, not really sure if im for it or against it but just dont think about it.
Today I go to my regular doctor for something else and as I leave i ask him about the vax. He said definitely definitely get it. I always trust and do what he says so Im starting to think maybe I should. Then I get on here and so many of yall are so against it.
So I guess Im back to just plugging along without doing anything.
What should worry me is that almost everyone I know has gotten it and think I should, so Im sure if I had never heard of this forum I would of gotten it long ago. Not so sure the forum is where I should get medical advice.

I know my doctor pretty well and he is as conservative as you can get. He got the vaccine without hesitation and told me to do the same. This vax or no vax debate has become so political it aint even funny. I know people that were all for getting it when Trump was in office, now all the sudden the vax is some sort of trap. LOL

Make your own informed decision. I made mine.

All I said was that the wife and I weren’t getting the shots. You and everyone else are free to choose for yourselves. Most of our family members got the shots, even the ones that had the virus. That seems kind of strange to me, but I have not said a word to any of them.

Guy I got hired with (Brian) moved to another FD many years ago. That FD was going toake it quite uncomfortable for any member that didn't get it. He's 45 and ended up having to use a walker immediately after getting the vaccine. 3 months later he's slowly getting better.

603, I certainly wasnt referring to you although I respect you so your opinion does carry more weight than others for me. There are 100 or so that voted no so I just wonder. I often ask for opinions on here about hunting or any number of subjects and believe me Im not asking permission. I just try to get all the advice I can and then plug it in and make my own decisions.
By the way, I bought a battery operated chainsaw today and I never would of even known they existed except for 603(and others.) Of course I havent tried it yet, so theres that.....

buses picking up kids to go get vaccinated, lowering the age to 12 to get kids vaccinated is pretty simply getting in folks business as well. Even with the children being the least in society affected by the wu tang clap.

Perfect example. Why are you worried about what other people are doing? If you don't want to vax your kids then don't. What other folks do is causing you static exactly how?

My primary care dr and close friend told me that the mandatory masks are what basically made the Flu a non issue. He gave me a technical explanation but what I made out of it was that the masks do work against the flu, but not Covid effectively. He did say because covid is transmitted airborne and particle size is very small unless it’s N95 it ain’t doing anything.
