I go to a big restaurant last night. The service was horrible and I post a 1 star review on google.

That review is showing only if I'm logged into my google account.
The same review will not show if anyone else goes and read the reviews.
This is very deceptive. Not only they have removed my review without notifying me, but they make me believe that the review is available as I can see it if I'm logged into my google account.

Now I start to understand why I've been to so many bad restaurants with such good reviews on google.

Google SUCKS!

FYI I'm posting the content of my review. I don't believe it violates any of their policies. Even if it does, I should have gotten a notification.

This review is for Eddie's on Lake Norman 643 Williamson Rd, Mooresville, NC 28117


"I'm on a business trip and I went there tonight. The experience was horrible. I ordered a douzaine of raw oysters as an appetizer and some steamed crab as the main course. After 45mn of wait, I didn't get any food. Finally I asked the waitress what's going on with the raw oysters? As she was explaining why the oysters are delayed (a few people had put orders before me), the steamed crab came to my table. I said I don't want to eat the crab before the oysters. She tells me...well...the crab is ready and here....if you want I can cancel the oyster and it won't appear on you bill. I wasn't happy. The manager came to talk to me (without me asking) and said I just wanted to tell you that the oysters won't appear on your bill....what they should have done is:
1. inform me why the oyster is late (I can understand)
2. coordinate with the kitchen to not send the main course before the oysters are served
3. If the main course is served before (like it was the case), don't come and tell me the oysters won't appear on you bill. But instead, take back the main course, serve the oysters whenever there ready, and then bring the main course (at least give that option). But what you don't do is force me to eat the main course and only give me the option to eat the raw oysters after the main course or cancel the oysters.

I've been eating raw oysters since I went to school in Mobile AL way back when. It takes less then 10 minutes to shuck and plate a dozen raw oysters. What a pile of excrement for an explanation.

It's clear that google is manipulating reviews....probably they get compensated by the business indirectly. It seems that they do keep a few negative reviews to better trick the customers.

better late than never. this is about 10 years old, at this point the internet and google are pretty much worthless. You used to be able to find useful info , nowadays everything is censored by china and the rest are adds.

Anyhow, and since you like oysters....Tonight I went to Big Daddy's Of Lake Norman Inc

I ordered a douzaine of oysters....excuse my French and a live main lobster.

The food and service were exceptional. I left a good tip and now I'm in good mood.

Honestly the oysters were probably the best I've ever had in the US (better than what I get in the east cost and much better that the best seafood/steakhouse restaurants in the DFW area).

haha....good one.....as always big corporations buy smaller firms to kill competition and in the process kill innovation as well.
So we're basically screwed. No reliable source of information to be found. It's not just that we're being manipulated with the news (I already knew that), but we're also manipulated in the smallest matters of our everyday life like the freedom of objectively choosing a restaurant.
