I don't condone the use of the word, but there are "artists" that use the word all the time. Rappers talk about cop killing/rape, etc. and there are no consequences. Twitter post from Rihanna a few days ago where she tweets "supn.." but I guess that's ok https://twitter.com/rihanna?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor Latest I see about Morgan Wallen is that the Nashville chapter of NAACP wants to meet with him.

Anyone know what he actually said? I read some of the link above and all i saw was that he quoted a line out of a rap song with the bad word in it.
Was that it or did he do something else?
I like some of his stuff, guess I wont be hearing it on the radio anymore lol

Not that I give a rat's arse about this guy, but context should matter. He was referring to a friend of his as a "term of endearment". Something I've heard young white kids do a lot, but being an older fella I wouldn't ever consider it. It cost one kid his job a few years ago and I thought what a dumass move it was on his part.
On the the other hand, if he was referring to a black guy/gal in a negative context, that is a different matter IMO. Unfortunately if you're white like ol' Morgan there is a zero tolerance policy. Like most folks I do find it really odd that it is OK to use that term if you are black. I don't follow the theoretical logic behind it.

Context should matter in every situation. “Zero tolerance” policies relating to anything are just copouts. That said, being in his industry I’m sure he was aware of the risks of bad public behavior. So still pretty poor judgment on his part. Fame has its price as well as its perks.

I guess some of the folks today have never listened to David Allen Coe. Yep. I have to turn down the volume when I play his stuff at my pool in the back yard. A couple of neighbors probably wouldn't approve.
