I am in the market for outdoor speakers to put around my pool and patio. I am looking for something Alexa compatible and weatherproof so I don't have to bring them in and out. I think I would need 4 speakers. Decent sound quality is fine, I don't need top end stuff. I just want to be able to yell at Alexa to play my tunes without getting out of the pool. Any suggestions?

These solar ones look interesting, maybe pair them with an Echo Dot?

You should be able to run Alexa off your phone I believe. Wouldn't need an Echo.

If you don't mind carrying the speakers out when you need them, check out Turtlebox. I've read nothing but good about them.

I just ordered one to use as a speaker on my mule and also be able to take where I need it. Haven't received it yet, though so no first hand knowledge yet. They can apparently be paired together.

For our pool, I have Polk speakers but they're wired into the house receiver and then I blue tooth connect to that with the phone to drive it.

I have a buddy with Sonos and they sound good and have been reliable as well.

Look at the Oontz Angle 3 bluetooth speakers. I’ve got two outside. They are paired up, plenty loud, and allow me to do anything from my phone or BT sound system. They are rechargeable, but I’ve placed them so that they are always plugged in out of sight. On cooler nights (last fall) lit the firepit and used the speakers for movie night sound. Even the neighbor commented on how good the sound was. nuts

For about $70 I am more than pleased.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be sure to update once I pull the trigger.

For anybody who is interested, I ended up picking up some slightly different Bluetooth speakers and pairing them with an echo dot. Not a perfect solution, but I'm happy with it. Speakers sounds great and work well. I move the Dot inside and out, but that's not a huge deal. Plug in the Dot and then manually turn on each speaker, which again, isn't ideal, but works. After that 30 second inconvenience, it works exactly like I wanted, being able to voice control everything from the pool without needing my phone, etc. I charged the speakers with the cord when I first got them, and so far, the solar panel has keep them topped up well enough.
