My lot is worth as much as my house. Have you ever heard of a claim on your lot? confused2

Do you have an Ag exemption on your property?

Have 10 acres here and it was ag'ed before I bought it but these crooks (County Appraisal Cats) took it off the year I bought, 2 years ago. Have a nice coastal field next door across the creek. Wife wants to bring Her pet Longhorn over. Trying to buy 5 acres next door of an elder Lady that is ag'ed. . Make me 15 and that would be enough to have one of Wife's pet longhorns over off the ranch I sold.

Allstate is horrible if you have a water leak claim, I deal with them almost weekly. They have $5000 maximum if you get like a water slab leak.

They are by far the worst out there for water leak claims due to underslab leaks..

That's standard. You have to add the rider for slab leaks but $10k is about the max and usually costs way more.

I do a lot of water slab leaks, All State is the only one with the 5k limit I have dealt with, I do about 100 claims per year

Just a heads up, anything an insurance company does that requires a signature should be read carefully, increases of coverage can be ratified simply by paying your bill, reductions always require a signature.

for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

I've heard this also quite a few times.

I had home and auto with Allstate for over 25 years. The rates on the autos got so high I dropped them and switch to Geico and saved almost 50%. Then Allstate screwed me on a roof claim so I switched home and auto over to esurance and got a huge discount. Interesting, esurance is underwritten by allstate. Insurance agents will have no loyalty to you whatsoever, they’re just looking for a premium and a commission. The best thing to do is shop your insurance every 3 to 5 years. Just find something that you’re comfortable with the premiums and deductibles and go with it until they raise it and then switch to another.

I had a Farmers ins. agent tell me once that I couldn’t keep changing companies. I told him sure I could, I’m dropping your company and saving 50%.
