I am very curious too. I was going to go with a good friend but what I was leary because he wanted 100% payment upfront. Whether if it was 1 day before the hunt or 6 months.

I had a hunt booked and cancelled. Just didn't seem right to me on info I was getting on the hunt. Was always changing story. I'm sure they kill a lot of nilgai....
Supposedly he use to be a Cameron County Emergency Management Coordinator and police chief of nearby town. I’ve heard the same good and bad. Almost feels like a 50/50.
I think it's funny about how after I cancelled my hunt he goes on an on about how he's never had a bad experience or negative review until me. See all sorts of stuff on different forums like this about upset people.
Good and bad reviews....mine not so good and never made right
Mine would be not so good as well. Saw exactly one nilgai-a cow- and got it. My partner saw exactly none...to his credit he was offered a free return hunt.
I have no personal experience with him. He sent me a friend request after I had commented on a FB post about Nilgai, which I accepted. Then he sent me two more requests from two other FB accounts, which made me nervous. I looked over his pages, and didn't see anything that jumped out at me, but I unfriended him and don't feel comfortable with booking a hunt with him because of the three different FB accounts that I know of. He offers some super cheap hunts that also set off red flags for me. You had to come out right away, and you had to shoot the first thing you saw. He does have a lot of pictures of successful hunters, but I'm not going to take the chance that I will be the unsuccessful one.
I have a very successful hunt with JTsafari on February , only 300 dollar upfront if you harvest a Nilgai pay 500 for bull or 300 for cow .I could harvest a huge bull.. Again going on May.
Just got back from a hunt with Kayote. Our group of 3 all took nice bulls. It wasn’t what we expected but that’s not their fault. Long story but we should have asked more questions and were given the opportunity to before going. We thought we would be hunting days safari style. Nilgai weren’t moving much in the day time so they suggested night hunting with thermal and night vision scopes. The first night we hunted all night and ended up taking the first bull at 5am. Second night we got lucky and pulled a double on 2 bulls early around 9:30pm. Kayote did everything I’d expect from an outfitter and our guide Tony was outstanding. We paid half at booking and other half if we killed a bull.
Well I hope its good, I have watched him on FB for over a year now and finially pulled the trigger. $1300 for a buy one get one free hunt with lodging and 4 hours of fishing. TBH forum has mostly good reviews. I will be sure and leave a review both places. I did pay upfront so I hope it goes smooth.
Alright everyone. I’ll finally give my review. I went hunting with Kayote a little while back. It was a $750 thermal night hunt. Talking to him on the phone it was an “oh you’re guaranteed a 98% shot opportunity.”. So I payed the $750 up front. MISTAKE #1....upon arriving at his house he redirected me to the guides house 15 minutes away. I pulled up the the guides house had a few words of BS. Ended up being a great guy to deal with....so we drive 30 mins to a ranch that he ended up telling me was extremely hit or miss and more miss than hit. Place was 500 acres, quite swampy as well. Needless to say we walked 11 miles that night in big circles and never saw a living creature. They were offering $150 bay fishing trips so I was like hey what the heck I was already down here...guide once again went out of his way to take us fishing after being up all night. 10 minutes into the fishing trip he gets a call from Kayote and they start arguing. After he gets off the phone we reeled the rods up and headed in. So I decide to go back to Kayote’s house where he said I’ll only charge you $500 for a rehunt and I’ll send you to a new place and guarantee you a bull. At this point I already had a bad taste but I’m on vacation and really really really want a nilgai. So I go get a hotel room, sleep for about 7-8hrs to wake up to a text from him saying to swing by the house and eat dinner with him before I go hunting. Upon arrival to house I find another hunter there on a rehunt from a $3000 hunt. I knew it was fishy...the morning trip sure wasn’t...Met back up with the guide and drove to the same place we had went the night before. I told the guide I wasn’t hunting here and I was supposed to be at a new place. His reply was “I haven’t heard anything about you hunting a new place.” 10 minutes after dark I see pictures of the guy on his rehunt with a trophy bull and a cow and story of how he passed on another big bull at this new place.
Here’s where it gets better.
I thought the guide did a great job so I wanted to tip him. But was short on cash since my screwing on the nilgai. So I showed him where I sent a $250 tip to Kayote for him through PayPal. He then told me....exact words....”how much do I give him? I’m only going to give him $100 since you were on a cheap hunt.” I then got extremely pissed off and professionally snapped telling him how I was not happy with my experience only to be cursed at and told it would be made right. My rehunt was scheduled for the first part of this month which I couldn’t get a reply back on so here’s my post everyone. Absolutely beware.

I really appreciate you sharing what happened with us, and everyone who might be researching a hunt with him. I was tempted by his offers, but never felt confident enough with what he was saying to book a hunt. Seems like the longer he is in business, the worse it gets.
