Guys on my lease have them, I don't use a trail camera. They love em'. Pay a quarterly fee of $35.00 for I think 2,000 pic's. I rode by his camera Saturday, he busted me within 15 minutes from the comfort of home.
An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

I have a few of them and I'm happy. As with any piece of technology I've had to troubleshoot it occasionally but overall it is a good product backed by good customer support. (They have replaced two cameras over the years with a new model free of charge when I was having issues). A few things I've learned that might help. Pick the service you use based on what works in your area. Generally you need two bars of service to get reliable pictures. If you only have one bar, the optional booster antenna will get you running with another bar. Don't waste time with non-rechargeable batteries. Get a solar panel and rechargeable ones. (my cameras have been running non-stop for about two years now. As for pricing, their plans are competitive and they are not attached to your cellular plan. It is a separate data plan that goes through their website. One of the nicest things about the setup was you can have you camera active and sending pics within a few mins of getting it out of the box. With ATT you can get 20k pics quarterly for 29.99 which isn't a bad deal. Also you can now add multiple cameras to one plan for 5$ a month. You can see their other plan options here: https://secure.covert-wireless.com/

I've been using them for about five years, when the early models quit working due to global network reconfiguration I contacted them and all I had to do was send in the old ones and sent me the latest and greatest for a small fee. I found the ASP lithium battery's are the best. I now have four coverts I run about 4 months out of the year. If you get one be sure not to leave it out all year, more than likely you'll run into seal problems and battery leakage that will damage the camera.

I leave mine out year round with rechargeable batteries/solar panels and have zero issues. I clean the rubber gasket but haven’t had any that degraded.

I had 2 that the seals started leaking and one had battery corrosion on the battery contacts that ruined the camera. Don't know where you're at but where I hunt the temperatures drops and rises can be extreme with a lot of humidity. Like today went from 95 to 50 in about two hours with rain. Summer days get up to 110.

They are great cameras with awesome customer service! The only problems I have had were technology issues, but it was an easy fix.

Look at the SPYPOINT LINK-DARK, 2 year warranty, several plans to chose from. I have the unlimited 15$ a month, Verizon. Very simple to setup and control everything from your phone. Located 40 miles from home. With a 2 bar signal receiving pictures ever 6 hours. Had it 3 months running with same batteries. No problems.

Summer days get up to 110. Hunt the hill country, temps as high as you are seeing with lows in the teens. Cleaning the seals regularly and using quality batteries goes a long way. Just my experience but I’ve had more issues with critters destroying the solar panel wiring than anything else. Metal conduit works well to fix that.

I use quality batteries, possible it could've been bad from the get go or the seal shrunk.

Well, sorry you have had bad luck with them. Myself and friends that use Covert cameras haven’t experienced what you have and leave them out all year long and plan to continue doing so. Best of luck.

I have a friend with coverts and they work well. I have 4 Bushnell wireless trophy cans and they work great. I only get AT&T service and they get a better signal than my galaxy s7. I put lithium AA batteries in them and they are good for an honest 6 months, one of them that was put out last November finally died the first week of August! Thousands of pics transmitted and saved on the SD cards. Majority of pics are sent within minutes, if weather is bad they may be delayed a few minutes to a few hours and if they don't transmit it dumps them when it gets a good signal. Plan is monthly through Bushnell, several plans available. I do the $9.99/mth plan for several thousand pics and I believe 7 high res upgrades (to your email and the app) per camera. Mine are running year round.
