I've heard good things about Escalon's, I've never used them though. There used to be a meat market in Windthorst that supposedly had good processing, but I believe they closed down. Clear Fork Country just east of Graham does some processing. I've used them, they're OK.

I process my own but I’ve heard the one in Graford does a good job from everyone I know that lives there.

Thanks for all the great info! Guess I'll just have to decide which way to drive 'out of the way' is most convenient.

If you’re wanting the closest to Olney I’d figure it’s the one in Newcastle.

Where do you live? Plenty in the metro area too. I live in Rendon.....yes, about a mile from Rendon Meats. They are great processors but I don't want to have to quarter and put things in ice chest until I get home.... I was hoping to take animals straight from ranch to processor.

If I shoot something in morning I drive 30 miles to Fischer's. If at night then do the quarter if it isn't cold and take to Kuby's. Wasn't impressed this year for first time. Fischer's killed them. They can be very different one year to another with flavor and moistness depending how they smoke it.

If you’re wanting the closest to Olney I’d figure it’s the one in Newcastle. If Jerry's does processing , I was not aware. I'm there almost once a week. I'll find out. At one time, they were keeping the deer in a old milk truck and taking it to Graford.
