I would appreciate any input/feedback from users - present or past. Interested in their "plate" design, which eliminates the need for a varmit cage. I suppose my only concern is what seems to be a lack of welds and the use of screws....presumably not to damage the galvanized coating?

Correct. Rivets have proven to hold up well. They have been in the business a long time, they know what works and what doesn't.
If you want welded and built like a tank, Alamo feeders in the classified section. Same design. I own several and highly recommend.

Klinker, depending on where you are located, Ramball36 on here makes a great stand and fill feeder with the plate design as well.

Lamco makes a great product.
If you want heavier steel ramball on here also makes a nice one. I have both and both work well.
