I'm thinking about buying a new Leupold Mark 5HD with possibly the Tremor 3 reticle. I can't decide between the Tremor 3 and the CCH reticle. Has anyone used the Tremor 3 reticle? What are your thoughts?

Tremor 3 reticle? What are your thoughts? Too busy for me. If they'd cut out the big wind dots, I'd consider it. H-59 is even more of an abomination.

Here's a overlay. One side is h59 other is t3. Imo both work great if you can handle everything going on. Also some scopes the subtensions seem to take up much more real estate it seems. My Schmidt is nice and thin but an older uso was really thick feeling.

I love the Tremor 3. Todd Hodnett’s design is brilliant. Can be intimidating when first looked through, but, once you spend some time behind one you learn to focus only on the part of the reticle you need. Wind dots are more time of flight dots whose value can be quickly be determined for different loads. Great for mil ranging targets and shooting movers. Recently took some new shooters from 400m to 1050m on steel in a decent wind (10mph) most with 1st round hits and never touched a turret. The T3 offers the ability of rapid target engagement. The US Marine Corps new Mark 13 Mod 7 rifles will be sporting this reticle.

Definitely way, way too busy for my tastes.
If my mil-quad reticle was thinner, it would be perfect. I like the Minox MR4 reticle a ton as far as tree reticles go.

Worse come to worse you'll be able to flip it if you don't like it. Those mk5 seem really solid imo.

“Never touched a turret”...soooooo, that reticle is a fancy holdover reticle? I’m shocked.

I was just being sarcastic toward the turret guys, though i also have turreted scopes. I’m sure it’s effective once a fellow is trained on it.

I'm excited about the Mark 5. Guys on the hide and where I ordered the scope are putting it in the same league as the Atacr. We'll see if it holds true.

I've only gotten to look through one for a short time. It was very nice. The turrets are awesome and best anything leupold has ever produced imo. I'm thinking hard about the 3-18 for hunting.
