So I've got the 3.3" in 9 and love the gun, but there's also room for improvement. The trigger is just a little heavier and grittier than I'd like. I've looked at the PRP spring kit, but was wondering if anyone has installed one or know of a drop in trigger kit possibly. TIA

I installed the PRP kit in my XDS 9mm. It's a pain in the azz to install but it was worth it in the longrun. The trigger is cleaner and lighter now and still functions perfectly after a couple thousand rounds.

Did you need any kind of tools other than punches? I'm contemplating going that route but not sure just yet

I'm contemplating going that route but not sure just yet Punches, a small hammer, and I made a gunsmithing cup out of a 2×8 block and a roll of painters tape. It's not that bad if you watch the right video. The grip safety leg is the tricky part but there's a couple of good videos that will help you out.
Haha yea I polished that thing for hours.

I installed a PRP on my XD9sc. Love it. Easy and fun to install. Just had to polish a bit here and there and their video guides are easy to follow.

The XD-S has pre-recall and post-recall discrepancies. It's not easy or fun to install a PRP kit in the XD-S, I can assure you.

I've installed the PRP kit twice in my XD-S since Springfield put all factory parts back in it when they did the recall work. Trigger was noticeably heavier and not as smooth after the recall even with the PRP stuff compared to before due to that crappy strut they put in that pushes on the sear. I also installed the PRP sear and that made a big improvement.
