I am constantly amazed by how many different creatures eat the corn I put out for the deer. Saturday evening I sat out in the box waiting on a hog. About dark I noticed something under one of the feeders- it was over 100 yards away and hard to make out with the Sightmark Photon because I was facing directly into what was left of the setting sun. 2 small bucks walked up from the side and were eating within 25 yards of the other "blob". The sun went down, then I could see it was a coyote- eating corn. I shot it (100 yards, 6.5 Grendel AR) and the deer looked up, then went back to feeding.

When I first read this I thought he might be hungry or starving. Looks like he has been eating regularly.

I was going through some SD cards from cameras on my Pigpipes. I had a boar eating at one then in about the next 4 frames it started with eyes, then a coyote sitting about 25 ft from the boar for two frames. Then after the boar left the coyote eating around the pigpipe. I have had pics with the yotes around the pipes, but not waiting their turn to eat. I thought it was strange that he was waiting, but obviously size matters at the pipe.

Last year had a coyote show up and graze under my feeder for awhile. Wasn't sure but figured he was eating corn. Have also seen the same thing happen when I shoot a coyote around the feeder, deer look up and then go back to eating.
Shoot. Eat. Repeat.

I am constantly amazed by how many different creatures eat the corn I put out for the deer. Few animals are obligate {type or food} eaters. Coyotes may be carnivores, but not obligate carnivores. They they grass, fruits, veggies, etc. During the right time of year, you can find coyote scat full of persimmon seeds. You won't find too many cats going after corn as they are a little more specialized than coyotes, but they occasionally enjoy non-flesh foods as well.

I have a dog at home that eats corn sometimes. My Lab will hit the feeder behind our house and eat corn and milo. Doesn't bother his system

I have pics of a coyote eating corn under one of my feeders just about every night. I have pics with him eating corn right next to deer and hogs! Maybe he is a vegetarian lol the other critters don't seem to be nervous of him at all.

I guess if they are hungry enough, they will eat about anything.
