I have hunted by walk and stalk during day. Done a lot of evening hunting too. But morning am to lazy to get up that early but am curious which you think is better? Might have to try it and cleaning would be easier once suns up

The hogs in our area are almost totally nocturnal. I will, very rarely, see a boar out wandering around during the day, but unless I can figure out where a sounder might be laying up for the day, I have had no luck walking and stalking or sitting over a feeding spot. Walking and stalking at night is not productive for me since the vegetation and topography of my hunting area is such that I can rarely see more than about 50-75 yards. If you have open fields and pastures to hunt, you may have some luck. You'll notice that Double Naught Spy moves from one open area to another in his quest for piggies.

I do both, the evenings are going to be more predictable, the hogs ARE going to get up and go eat. Just have to find them before dark so shooting time is limited. Mornings are the funnest if they are moving because they become unpredictable and can be out until 10 am sometimes, but also most are bedded before sun up. Depends on the property and the weather, a little rain and they tend to be out feeding late.
Just like Jesus, sometimes you gotta kill some hogs. Lone Star Mesquite . com RattleSnake Dan's Shredding Service

On our place, you can find them nearly any time of the day. On morning hunts, they are usually shot on average around 9am.

The times I have hog hunted in the daytime was usually with dogs. With very few large acre places to hunt not much daytime hunting anymore for me. Hunt evening/night 80% of the time.

I think in cooler weather, with not too much hunting pressure, hogs will often come out around sundown. If there's hunting pressure, or if it's hot, they'll often wait a few hours. In those circumstances I generally find more hogs when I get out before dawn and hunt until the sun's up. Not that anything works all the time …
I have two unwritten rules: 1. 2.

We usually see hogs just before dark on our place. When we do see them during the day it's almost always a small group of large boars.

Ive never seen hogs in the morning while deer hunting in the SHNF and consequently I have never seen deer at dusk, only hogs. Im not saying that is the way it is just my experience over the past few years while hunting public lands
