Mountain goats - because I don't want to die
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

Some of the African animals. I've never had a desire to hunt Africa. X2 same here ... and I have no desire to hunt bear of any kind ... don't judge those that do if that's their thing.

I personally dont mind killing much of anything.
Id Harpoon a whale if I had an opportunity. I dont have a desire to hunt bear but if I was hunting elk or deer and saw a bear I would take the shot
Animals that dont excite me however are numerous, most African species (Cape buffalo for instance do nothing for me ).
Methods of take and attractiveness of animals play into it more than ethics
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Well call me worthless--but I love to shoot Zebra--meanest damn critter to hunt...first stallion I shot took 3 well placed rounds of 9.3x62. I have taken Giraffe. A bull and some in a cull hunt. While I would probably not do it again , I had no problem with it. Elephant hunting is grand sport--lots of tracking and up close looking and truly hunting your quarry--can be dang exciting too. Love to hunt sheep and goats--a Tur hunt is probably the most adventure you can have for under $10k. Bighorn sheep hunting is grand sport too--wish I had a pocket full of money to do it everyday. I have hunted behind high fence and in country that you could get lost in...both had different animals with different goals and expectations. When I read thru comments above I think--hunters do themselves this own disservice--squabbling about if it is high fence or not--or should you shoot a zebra. I love to hunt, be outdoors, see nature...the kill is minor...the kill is usually taking of a animal that will better the herd, and put dollars toward keeping deer in the field or sheep on the hill. Sometimes I question folks--that or so adamant about one thing or another. African hunting has come up--most that I see comment about high fence African hunting have never been--or even seen an operation. I have been to Africa 6 times on Safari. 2 times I hunted a high fenced place. My family and I hunted a place that was 19,122 ac. It is a beautiful ranch, that is filled with game--and not once did I feel like I was "shooting fish in a barrel". I have also spent hard earned money and seen very little due to super dry conditions in a consession. Not fun.
Not not be too long winded is I like to hunt, now if I had to chose I care not to shoot cats-- I have hunted Leopard and helped hunt Lion--it doesn't get me excited. I have hunted black bear--Ok for once but Grizzly would not be at the top of my list. Other than that--I hope my legs can continue to take me up the hill, across the pasture, or hell for that matter behind the fence. Happy hunting!
Ed

Ed To each their own. Just ignore the ignorant, they are not worth responding to. As I stated, I might change my mind when I hunt Africa. Being a predator myself, I have more of a reluctance to kill them......for now.

There isnt anything legal to hunt in North America that I wouldnt take once.
Theres a few things in Africa I could care less about (think tiny 10). Zebras are a weird one, I dont have much desire to shoot a horse, but I wouldnt mind having a couple zebra rugs. My wife would probably divorce my over most of the big cats. A Leopard is really the only one I would be interested in, but a bit out of my price range.

What is peoples hang ups about hunting cats? Is it cause they are pretty?
Back in the day I watched a couple of kids and a mom walk up to the picture board at sportsmans warehouse.
Lady sees a picture of a guy with a leopard and says man that is so wrong. The kids say yeah Mom that is so wrong
Im like hey lady you are in a HUNTING store!
Maybe she should shop at REI with the rest of the nature park people
I dont understand why people recoil over killing a big cat. Yes they are pretty and a predator. They are also not immortal and will die one day if left to their own devices

Killing a big cat seems like fun Ive killed a long tailed cat while deer hunting. He was sitting under some rimrock during the daytime. Id love to run one with dogs. Any kind of hunting with dogs is much better. Id probably still enjoy deer hunting if I could do it with hounds.

Put some giraffe, zebra, baby seals, little kittens and a few penguins in a 5 acre high fence and let me make the ground run red.

Ducks, unless they are up in the northern states, like North Dakota or Minnesota.

Ducks, unless they are up in the northern states, like North Dakota or Minnesota. Help me understand here. You dont want to shoot them unless you can freeze off your cajones in the process? Is that it?
