Animals can not see infrared light. But they can see the red glow at the light source on the 800 wave length. I have heard the 940nm has no glow. Anyone verified this and if so then what 940nm device for rifle do you recommend?

940 has no glow. I bought a cheap one but the throw is so short that it’s virtually useless. You also can’t tell whether it’s on or not without looking through an nv device. Maybe the expensive ones are better, but I gave up on 940.

I said I wasn't going to buy a 940nm but I lied. It works well with my photon. It hasn't spooked the hogs. My buddy came over on the weekend and his pulsar laser illuminated the hogs nicely but spooked them. We tested his and mine at 100 yards to see if we could see the glow with naked eyes. His glow was extreme and he couldn't see my 940. So 940 it is and he is getting a 940 also

If you find yourself feeling useless, remember it took 20 years, trillions of dollars, and four presidents to replace the Taliban with the Taliban.

Yes, details please!! And a report on how clear the scope is out to 150 yards since that's the average maximum distance most folks hunt with digital.

Cool! Thanks!
We need a report on how well it lets you "see" at 100 yards vs the 850 you have been using on pitch dark night.
The two nights I went out last week had mostly full moon and I didn't need IR.

With my photon and that 940 100 yards is easy. I could make out deer last night about 200 yards away. Had no moon. The only thing I found weird about it was the focus. It can be focused so far that the actual light diode itself can be seen on the tree line. It looks like a microchip. Made it really bright. For 24 dollars it beats the built in ir light on my photon. Turn the photon on level 3 and still can't make out 200 yards. Doing good to make out right past 100. my buddy is buying one too. He wanted to buy the 940nm pulsar laser but think he changed his mind
