Are there any mule deer scientific breeders in Texas? What is the furtherest east anyone has had success at bringing them into a stocker situation?

I sold a Ranch in far northeast val verde county that the previous owner had allegedly tried to breed the in a large 100 acre trap and then released them into the main body of the Ranch (1600 acres)


They never took from what I understood


I think they need low humidity to flourish


For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.
