I know at least one THFer has some stick time with Q's new rifle that came out at SHOT last year. I'm thinking about putting in for one in 308. Anyone played with one? THE FIX
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

What did they fix? An excess of beauty in rifles?

Gotta go with the others...what did they fix? Went to their site and read what they said about being 'far superior' but couldn't find a single word about why or what they fixed. Also couldn't find anything about the 'gap' in the market they claim to fill. For $3,000 I can think of quite a few other options, especially going with a pair of re-barreled Tikkas like Chad puts out. P_102

Lightweight bolt-action tactical rifle. Seems okay but I'm not a $2999 gun guy.

I have seen great range reports from both the .308 and 6.5 CM models. Here is a really good article that explains what they were trying to accomplish with the Fix, and what caliber of designers and engineers Q has hired. http://www.recoilweb.com/we-knew-q-llc-w...fix-122186.html

P_102 At first glance I thought it was just a copy of a Ruger Precision rifle at 3X the price. But after reading up on it, it is 4 lb. lighter, more modular, and has a folding stock. I can't think of anything else on the market with comparable specifications. Not that I need a 6lb .308 rifle that can fit in a Ukulele case. Nor do I have $3K in the gun budget at the moment. But it is cool. Definitely different than anything else out there. If you need a compact portable precision rifle it is superior to anything out there.

Wonder if the owners of the company are James Bond fans, wasn't it Q that supplied him with all those cool toys

Instead of a continuous rail it would be nice for about 8" to be removable so a 20 degree rail could be mounted. P_102
