Be bringing my dog for a few days of quail hunting by Vernon.. what temp do the snakes go into hiding so I don't have to worry about her running across one?

You should be fine under 40......even on "cold" days they can be found basking if its a sunny day. Even in the 50's they will not be very active.....

Snakes usually get pretty sluggish in the low 60's. Still out but not very aggressive has been my experience. Don't mean they won't bite though if a dog fools with it.
