No beer, definitely some TP and a garden trowel, a knife, small binoculars, spare batteries, nitrile gloves, a whistle, hunting license, waterproof matches and a couple of pieces of candle, some parachute cord or equivalent.
I have two unwritten rules: 1. 2.

Don't carry all of this all the time but taylor contents to task at hand. Use a full sized backpack with MOLE attachment points or a shoulder pack or a fanny pack depending on where/how long.
A couple of 55 gallon trash bags - don't take up much room and comes in handy sometimes - makes dandy emergency rain parka/gun cover! NV monocular and illuminator. Binos Extra IR illuminator for digital NV (if needed). DVR, cable and remote. Cutter natural insect repellent and/or an OFF battery powered repeller for stand use. Snacks: PBJ sammich, cashews, butterfinger or baby ruth, V8 and crackers, etc. 2-3 bottles of water and a gatorade - if I'm stand hunting, the gatorade bottle makes a fine urinal. Extra gloves(warm and rubber), dark hoodie, stocking hat. AA and AAA batteries for NV and 18650 for flashlight and flashlight. Extra mag loaded with 9 120gr SSTs. 1911 w/extra mag.

Many of the things listed above. I have a 5 foot square of fluorescent orange nylon cloth. I hunt in camouflage and if I get hurt or need to be seen I can whip it out. I used while coyote hunting and I called in bird hunters, a quick flash of the orange, they gave a wave and went away.

TP, headlamp, penlight, cedar scent, turkey slate, bread ties and ink pen, knife with gut blade, butt-out, a book, snacks, water, and a small box with 2 rounds each of .22 Mag, .223, 30-30 and .308. I've never needed, but if I ever forget ammo for my primary hunting weapons, I can hunt, but need to make the rounds count. And all but the 30-30 become single shots!
Dalroo Deep in the Heart of Texas How about that Brandon!
