I use "Shooter" ballistics. And it has been doing a good job for several years. $9.95

Ballistic FTE has always been good. There is a newer app called GeoBallistics, that has been developed by some local shooters I know. The GeoBallistics is set up to blue tooth with your kestrel and other devices to get up-to-date environmental data. If on-line, I use this one: http://www.mega.nu:8080/traj_dat.html I have used this on-line link on my phone in the deer stand and other places. It is a form of JBM, and I like the way it outputs the data, because I can copy and paste it into an Excel sheet and manipulate the columns and rows how I want them. On your input, make sure if you use a G7 BC, that the drag setting is to G7, and not G1. If you are entering a G1 BC (which I do not recommend), make sure the setting is not on G7. G1 BC is for a soft point, flat base bullet, and his heavily velocity dependent (as the bullet slows down, the G1 BC decreases). G7 BC is for a BTHP bullet, which most rifle bullets are now. Use the G7 BC for more accurate longer range trajectory data with a 300 grain BTHP.

Get the Hornady Ballistic app on Google Play. You can use the standard ballistics calculator but spend the time to enter your data into 4DOF. Your bullet is already in the system so your results will be based on the drag coefficient from doppler radar. Follow the instructional video in the app and figure your zero angle and axial form factor and the result will be stellar. I just completed the exercise with my 308 and the results are well worth the effort (which is not a lot). I have used Strelok for years and years and that was always my recommendation, but this is another level. I am junking Strelok and moving everything to Hornady. Plus it is free!!!!

There is an option to link to a weather meter via blue tooth. I enter manually, inputs are very easy.

If the phone has a signal, Shooter will input temp and DA. Both are very important shooting beyond 500 yards.

Yes they are that is why I put positional environmental data into the app manually.

So, you're getting that date from another instrument? And there are fields to input them?

If you use 4DOF option there are all the fields you need to make a cold bore hit at 850 yards. It is free to download, watch embedded video under help and judge for your self.

I use the applied ballistics with custom drag curves for each bullet.

Applied ballistics here either in a kestrel 5700 or android app.
If I had to choose another option it would be geoballistics.
