I'm sure there are a lot of folks out there.
I went to a local archery shop the day before the season a couple of years ago to pick up some string wax and a couple of paper targets, and the parking lot was full with people buying bows and arrows, and questioning the staff on how to set them up to shoot. No doubt they never used a bow before, or knew anything other than you put the arrow on the string, pull back, and let it fly! I will admit that shooting a bow, once you get competent, is a little like riding a bike, and doesn't take long so if that is you, good luck! It's those that don't have a clue that are cause for concern.

Thursday at 12:45 PM #33 Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Shot mine 6 times last Sunday. One arrow went almost through my old bag target (messed up feathers) and busted a nock off another arrow

of course, I've seen the same thing at gun shops with folks buying guns and having the shop personnel "sighting them in" and fully well intending to go hunt with these guns without ever firing them beforehand.

I took a few days off the last week and a half because of a fractured knuckle and it's tough drawing the bow with it but I normally shoot most every day and even with this I've shot one or two arrows most days as well. Yesterday I put about 30 arrows down range. The Widow is ready to bite something tomorrow.

I'm off to the deer woods. My son is home on leave to sling a few arrows with me. I'm after a pig and he is after a deer. Good luck gents.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.
