 Wife losing her hearing ??

Fearing my wife was losing her hearing because I had to repeat things several times i tried a little experiment. While she was preparing dinner I stood about 20 feet away and asked "What's for dinner?".
There was no reply.
I stepped closer and asked again.
Again, no reply.
I stepped closer yet and asked a third time.
Still no reply.
Finally, standing about 2 feet away I asked "What's for dinner"
She replied "For the FOURTH time...It's MEATLOAF!
