Is that cheek riser for a W3 or an Xray?

Fits both.

Alot of ppl dont like rubber overmolded stocks/accesories. I happen to like them because they are soft and warm like a woman. Cold plastic or fiberglass cheekpiece on your face in Nov-Jan sucks. If Hogue would ever get their sh!t together and reinforce the forends of their overmold stocks Id actually use them on my hunting rigs.

They don't get sticky in the summer sun?

Mine doesn't get sticky (or didn't, there's a pack on it now). No problem that I know of with the forend, has full aluminum chasis and I made sure it's floated plenty. P_102

Not too bad in the summer but overmold does make my cheek sweat differently when its hot. Regarding the KRG one, it can be swapped in a matter of a couple minutes so you could potentially run plastic in summer and overmold in the winter.

The Hogue forend flex is a known issue that I wasnt aware they had fixed. Put a bipod on ur Hogue forend and theres a decent chance you're no longer free floated. I had a FN PBR that I saw the issue first hand with.

Great looking rifle Kyle, can't wait to see it in action. Sorry to hear Tony had to have surgery, seems to have been bothering him for quite some time.

I've checked with the bipod, while mounted on the gun I can get a stack of 6-7 bills all the way to the action. Truthfully, I never understood the whole bipod issue and how your rifles weight on a bipod is any different than on a front rest or on bags.....the bipod is simply holding the stock up, just like a rest or a bag. If I'm missing something I will happily try to understand. P_102

I had this problem with my Ruger 22 I brought out to shoot. With bipod on the stock flexed and touched the barrel when I loaded the bipod on the front bag it doesn't do that because I'm not loading it. That's what I'm guessing. I know you don't need to load a bipod on a 22LR but it's habit lol.

Because shooting a flexible stock on front rest or bag(s), they need to be brought back under the action, or just in front of the action. Thereby keeping the forearm from touching the barrel.

Thanks all, I never thought about a single point of contact up front causing the bend. Thanks for getting my brain on track (it requires it often). P_102

No. I think he just needs to have a sit down with that rifle and explain the unfortunate circumstances behind it's future.

Preach!

I told Kyle I'd get him lined out making his own great ammo. He still won't do it.

"I don't like hand-loading".

A week later "this rifle should shooter better than this".

bang KILLING ME SMALLS!!!!
