Thinking about getting a SIG SAUER P239 I have rented and shot the 9mm but no one has a 40 to rent has anyone shot one I have a glock23 does it kick less or more then the glock.

To the OP, I had a 239 in 357 sig. Shot fine and recoil wasn't bad but preferred double stack so when the 224 was released I went that direction. 239 is not a small gun for being single stacked but I would rather have it over a shield any day

P239 is a fantastic gun. I've shot the 9mm quite a bit. Buttery smooth with very little recoil. I personally believe that 9mm is the best self defense round for a conceal pistol, so that's what I'd go with. I like 40, but it gets snappy in smaller guns. That being said, I've never shot the P239 in 40. Just going off my experience with smaller Taurus pistols and the XD subcompact.

9mm 239 is my everyday carry and has been since they came out with them.
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

thanks for your information right now i carry a glock 26 and some time a glock 19 I did carry a 45 auto for about 20 years then went to a glock 21 I went to the range and rented a sig p229 I really liked it and got one reminded me of the 1911 on the second shot looking for something smaller to carry every day will take a look at the p224 thank you.

Looked at the P224 nice gun hard to get now also I was reading there are a lot of problems with them failing work is that the 9mm or 40 cal or have they fixed the problem.
