Thoughts? opinions? Thinking about one for the AR... just need something better than iron sights or red dot.

They are nice lightweight compact scopes for the money. Good glass, easy to use turrents. Problem is finding a mount besides the two piece Nikon set since it's so compact. Not many mounts will fit it let alone leave eye relief adjustment.
One shot is all it should take.

I'd find a 3x or 5x red dot.

I have used the P-223 3X Carbine scope for a 3+ years now and it is a very nice scope for a great price. Lets you get on target quickly and make an accurate shot. I use the P-Series 2 pice mount because of how compact this scope is. I have yet to find a 1 piece mount that will fit it. Another similar priced scope is Nikon's P-223 1.5-4.5 BDC 600 reticle. This scope is built with Nikon's PROSTAFF glass, very clear and bright especially in low light conditions. The BDC reticle lets you dial in your rifle, scope and ammo using Nikon's Spot On Ballistic Program for excellent longrange accuracy. For $100 more you can move up to the M-223 1-4 Point Blank reticle. This scope is built with MONARCH series glass. Both scopes have Nikon's No Fault Warranty backing them in case you drop the scope or accidentally run over it. Both these scopes will fit in Nikon's 1 piece AR mount. Check out some of THF's Sponsor's to see if they can help you out.

I've run one of these on my .300 Blackout SBR for a couple of years now and I really like it. I originally got it so I could dial between subs and supers. But, I discovered that when I zero'd supers at 100 yards that the third hash down on the reticle was zero for subs at 50 yards. I'm happy with it!! Thanks!! Matt

The super-sub is handy for shooting BO for sure. I dialed in one BO rifle for just subs only. Way easier to remember. Gemtech's 187 gr. subsonic projectile's group really well at 100 yards and are devastating on hogs. If you get a chance to try them out do it. Accuracy and reliability, something I wasn't getting from Rem. 220 gr. bullets.

Are you considering this based on price, or is this the objective and magnification you want?
An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.
