Well, my rifle came back and now to start working up a load. I also received the Whidden dies from Horizon with it. I had purchased a box of 6mm Creedmoor brass, so I set out to size em. Light case lube and I used the talc powder that had been procured for this. Was very pleased how easy the neck resize was with and without the talc. These seem to be very nice dies, all my others are Lee which I am happy with also. Plan on H4350 starting at 42.0 to 43.0. Sound good?

What weight bullets are you running? If 75gr or above look at slower powders. Reloader 26 yields some very impressive velocities with that round. I don't have that one but do have a 22-243 so very similar. Dstroud runs a 22Creed and he turned me onto the Reloader 26 for it.

Saw what he had listed, and it will be a 75 A Max. Don't have the Reloader and thought H4350 would work like in my 6.5Cm.

It can work but with the smaller diameter bullet the 22 version is more over-bore and works better with slower powders.

42gr is about right with H4350 with the 75Gr bullets in the 22 Creedmoor. As kmon1 mentioned there are a few other possibilities that will yield a bit more velocity and perform well. Reloder 26 has shown highest speeds for me with 4000MR/ Reloder 23 and H4831 making good solid showings too.

Headed into the big city and have a couple places to check for Reloader 26. Looked at Alliant load data, the closest it shows is a 100 grain in .243 at 47.9gr. Think that's a smigen high, maybe cut it back to 42.0 grain?

With Reloder 26 Start at 43 and work up from there. max in mine was 45.3 but I got good results at 45.0 so that's where I have been running and that's with 80 g

Dang Buzz, that's a nice offer but we have a few miles between us. Even going to a big town (Amarillo) is a 180 mile round trip. I did find a place in Canyon TX. that had 3 lbs @ $28.59 ea. Is that on the high side? Nevertheless I'm on my second round of 5 3rd loads @ 44.2 to 45.0 at .2 steps.

28.59 is kinda normal, powder has not gone down much, especially the popular ones.
Where is Stratford, near Houston?
following your testing I really like the .22 Nosler

Buzz, go as far north in the middle of the panhandle, about 90 miles north of Amarillo. I found the powder 30 miles south of Amarillo. Up here if ya haven't driven at least a hour you haven't gone anywhere.
