Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Agreed! I have the Glock 40 and enjoy it, but a 70 series 1911 in 10mm might be tough to pass up....at this price point.

You should, it's a great pistol and caliber. I have one in the Kimber elite.

I've been debating on this gun or the Colt Delta Elite... a 10mm 1911 is a match made in heaven!

Had a Delta Elite when they first came out and wasn't too happy with it, it pretty much beat itself to death. That frame and internals just wasn't ready for that cartridge. With Rugers history of reliable rugged pistols that wouldn't be my concern but their history of bad triggers would be. I want to see a range report before I lay out 1000 bucks. If it gets good revues on the accuracy department they sold another one.
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

Suggested retail $1090.
I'm going to be needing one of these.

Very interested in the new Ruger 10mm. I have some concern about not having a front bushing. Street price seems to be 729 to 735 which is very reasonable. I really like the fact it is a series 70 format.

I broke a couple of Delta Elites, broke the link on one and cracked a frame on another. BUT my Glock 20C has not let me down yet. I did look at a STI, but they are way to high. I will look into the Ruger myself.

Ruger makes a nice 10MM. It's a great caliber for the 1911 and makes a great hunting handgun. I have experience with the Glock 40 and Colt Delta. I prefer the steel over the plastic. The newer reinforced Colt Delta can be found for around $1,000.00 but it is a series 80. I think the Ruger would be a nice way to go.

I love the 10 mm round but not loving the platform I'm running. I have a glock 40 with a vortex venom on top. The thing is really nose heavy and I can't get use to shooting with the red dot. I may have to trade for a Ruger.

Got handle one today, very nice! I am on the fence between it and a Tikka ctr! The Ruger was 853.00 sticker price. Kind of wanting to wait and see if they come out with a long slide version since i already have a 5 inch 1911 in 10mm.
