Looking good Sapper. DeerView windows are an easy choice IMO, from the water sealing and bug sealing perspectives. You've done a great job sealing everywhere else, windows are the most common entry point. I'd weatherstrip your door too.
Keep it dry and tight and it will last many years.

Got all the screw heads caulked today and put window/door flashing above the windows and door. Prob either paint or do the shingles tomorrow.

Are you to set on ground or elevate it? If on ground set on landscape timbers, concrete blocks etc. anything to not touch ground for rotting. Anything to secure would be to keep honest people honest, nothing stops thieves. Looks great and good luck.

Looks great and good luck. it will be at least 20 inches off the ground to keep moisture from accumulating around the bottom and causing rot.

went ahead and placed the order for the deer view windows today. They were cheaper than I had initially expected. 130 dollars for 4 custom hinged windows that will outlast the blind which I expect to last a long time.
I did paint it today I went with OD Green aka Olive Drab not quite as green as I thought it would be but oh well. I may do some came design with some brown spray paint and some darker green not sure yet. still not decided yet if I want to paint the inside or not but if I do prob just do the back wall to break up my outline and darken up the inside of the blind.

Good choice. I suggest you at least paint the back wall dark color which will help with any movement of your sidekick. Nice build.

That's a good deal IMO, I have about $100 in all four of mine tracks and plexiglass included. $30 more is money well spent...

Coming along nice. Might consider corner trim on all the corners, then caulk that too. Cheap insurance for another common water penetration point. If you can place her in the shade it will extend the life of your paint job. If not, she'll need a fresh coat every couple years to stay sealed.

Almost exactly like the build I am finishing up. I built it modular so I can re-assemble on site. Question - how are planning on installing the hinged windows with the window plate extending? Those windows need all 4 surfaces flat.

Clean lines but I have to admit, 4x6 will be tight for 3 people. I'm not a big guy and most of my blinds are 6.5x8 for when both of my sons hunted with me now just the younger hunts with me the older is hunting alone. I'll post a pic of the most recent I just built 2 weeks ago as soon as I can get off the SD card.

Looks like your doing a fine job.
You can sit 3 in a 4x6 without too much trouble. It helps if they like each other though. Ive hunted 2 people out of a 4x4 my whole life and as teenagers me my brother and my dad would all sit in a 4x4 together... ideal? no but it worked.

My two sons are close in age so they need their space and I need my patience. Flip a coin on the first person to shoot between them before the hunt. Sometimes stay all day and bring a lot of junk to eat and drink.

Got the door on along with all the hardware and put a seal all the way around the door just to make sure the bugs can't get in. Trying to decide on metal roof or shingles I think the metal or Fiberglass/plastic would be lighter and last longer

If its not a gable roof I would go with shingles if the winds are strong where you hunt. I have a few flat roof stands that had metal and the wind ripped it off.

I've got some roofing you can have, I'll be in Salado next Thurs/Fri. It's two sheets that are about 15'
