Dang I was just in Best Pawn and was looking at the RTICs wanted a black medium size but they only had white and stainless. Guess i should have picked up a couple. I'm guessing this also includes ozarka trials from Walmart?

http://www.statesman.com/business/austin...SbWIqMCkRqBgFM/Basically, RTIC owes Yeti money and is to cease sales until products can be redesigned. Maybe that's why they had the big sale. The writing was on the wall.

Doubt Walmart would lose if it came to it.

Ok good deal, the Ozark Trail ones are good to go. My wife got one and we did a side by side test with same amount of ice cubes and water both same temp and the next day they both still had the exact same size ball of ice.

They actually filed on a lot of companies but RTIC was the first one tried in court. Now that they won that one the others can't win. Everyone that has knocked off Yeti exactly will have to change or pay up. I Rep Mammoth brand and they changed their designs enough to skirt the lawsuit 2 years ago.

I ordered a 40 soft side, another cup and hat. I have the 65 and it's a great cooler for the money.

Texas cooler rivals Yeti and Rtic announced Thursday evening that they've reached a settlement on their litigation, and Rtic will have to redesign its hard-side coolers, soft-side coolers and drinkware. Cypress-based Rtic burst onto the cooler scene in 2015 with slogans like "half the price of a Yeti cooler and holds more ice." Yeti's response was to file several lawsuits. The allegations included patent infringement, trade dress infringement, trademark infringement and unfair competition.
Rtic co-founder John Jacobsen said his company entered the settlement to avoid the additional cost and uncertainty of litigation. Separate from the agreement, he said, Rtic had previously announced changes to its product lines and expects to roll out new products and update existing products in the spring. "This dispute has been amicably resolved," Jacobsen said in a text message. "And as part of the agreement, Rtic has agreed to redesign its products." In a news release, Yeti said that Rtic and its co-founders will have to make a financial payment and cease sales of the products subject to its lawsuits. "We are extremely pleased with the results we have achieved," Yeti CEO Matt Reintjes said in a news release. "We will continue to defend our innovation and intellectual property. This is a true win."
