So I pulled my Mom is after the break but I was still seeing birds wary to come down into the dekes. I'd have them circle and circle then almost think about dropping but them lift back up.
Wondering if anyone is still using mojos and if they are having any success on these late season bird? Hoping to have a Good showing for my daughters bday hunt tomorrow.

Works for me. Pull them every once and a while. Most of those days it doesn't matter what you do. Sometimes, ducks dont work.

I run a mojo every hunt and for the most part never have an issue with them.

Went last weekend and forgot to put the mojo in the truck. I normally run two, but they just didn't make it this time. I ALWAYS have a jerk cord just in case though so I hooked up some of my gadwall to it and pulled that little string all morning. (frantically to get them interested, then slow to give decoys life. It was working like a CHARM! I think not having the mojo helped a little. This time of year, they've seen it all, so you gotta match the look. No more big j hooks or landing zones. Late season I am a HUGE fan of setting groups. 12 mallards in a wad, 12 gadwall in a wad, 12 teal right up against the bank. 6 or so divers on the outskirts. All the species isolated by 5 yards or so.

I won't use a mojo if I'm hunting water. Dry fields I will run 2-3

I am fortunate that my fathers best friend owns an outfit in Anderson county. Most of the guides will never use the late season. Actually most of them won't use them at all. They are convinced that by the time they make it to Anderson county the shy from them. They do however use the bubblers. I'm not completely convinced I think it's more a matter of doing something different. Last year BPS had the two pack of baby Mallard mojos on sale and I picked them up. I used them three times I wasn't hunting at my fathers friends place. All I can say for sure is they didn't scare any birds off. All theee hunts were very quick limit hunts. Now it's impossible to tell if they actually helped or not. It should be noted that we saw almost now Mallards last year but for teal, pintails, gadwalls and the occasional bluebill it didn't hurt. Gadwalls always seem to want to sit down next to them. I also know it has been said on here in the past but if your seeing mostly teal a dove mojo seems to work fine.
I have often wondered the last few years if there are so many people turning off their mojos late season if they again become very affective.

They help tremendously when there is no wind- especially on bigger water - I would maybe use mojo dove for a little flash- typically motion key. Agree w no Js and bunching little groups. Ducks are starting to pair up- jerk rig always good- if necessary for motion. Hard to beat

We generally put them out but then sometimes will not turn them on. This morning we had ducks wanting to land IN OUR SPREAD...we had no mojos out. The general consensus is pull them late season but I will say experiment and see for yourself. I had birds wanting to land on top of my mojos less than 10 days ago....on a hard hunted public lake.
