I have a lot of pictures of this buck and he seems to have some sort of ring worm. What do yall think? Also, if my son has a shot at him during this last weekend of youth season would you eat it?

ring worm is a superficial fugus affecting the skin only. Meat would be fine underneath. May be a sign of other illness though, or just a wet season for the deer. Can you post up a pic of the deer and the affected area, may not be what it appears...

He has several of these small circles on him. Just figured it was ring worm, but I've never seen it on any other deer.

I have never seen a deer with ringworm, but don't see why they couldn't get it. Since it is superficial, I wouldn't think there would be an issue with eating the meat.

Interesting. certainly Looks the part of a fungal type infection like ring worm but to have it spread all over like that makes me wonder. Usually ring worm is going to be localized and not all over in small spots like that. Again, that buck looks healthy so the meat under should be fine, but has me scratching my head on this one...
