Crock pot, throw them in there with a ham bone/ham hock/bacon, & onions and call it done later tonight.

Edit...I forgot the peppers.

Serve over rice.

I add a link of deer sausage to mine as well.

That is the great thing about black eyed peas. All day long while they cook, Yu can just walk by and drop in stuff you forgot to put in a while ago. When there is no more room in the pot, they are well seasoned.
