2 1/2 or so, too young to really show what he'll be. Give him another couple of years. If by 4 1/2 or so he's not what you want, turn him into freezer fodder.

Unless y'all are on a huge place that is meticulously managed, it isn't going to do any good to cull a deer here and there. I'd save your buck tags for deer you like.

I am going way against the grain here, but I essentially culled the 3 year old version of that deer yesterday. Every deer is different, but the one I took yesterday was still missing a G1 and was a still a basic 6 point frame. He was just a little heavier and about 14" wide. He was chasing a doe also, so I felt real good pulling the trigger on him.
