Just returned from Colorado Elk Hunt and while the weather was warm and Elk did not cooperate at all I did manage to call in some coyotes. Spent one day at the NRA Whittington Center LR shooting which is a great spot to check out if your near Raton NM Made a couple of stands on public lands nearby. After killing these in New Mexico I moseyed on to Colorado and called two in for friends there. Both were m-m-m-mi-issed standing still at less than 40 yards. Howled this one in right at dark Next morning daylight called a triple but only got one Later another came to Snowshoe rabbit This one was maybe the largest desert coyote I have seen or killed. He hung up at 221 yards and as he started to leave I let the 22 Creedmoor have its say. His teeth were worn down but he was in great shape. I was about ready to give up after about 20 minutes and this one shows up running over a half mile to end up filling up my scope at 15 yards.

I'd been totally fine with the outcome of the trip. Very nice looking rifle, Seems to be a shooter as well.

Good job! And, as said, it was a fine outcome even if you didn't get your elk. I'll betcha you saw some very pretty country! What caller were you using?

Good job! And, as said, it was a fine outcome even if you didn't get your elk. I'll betcha you saw some very pretty country! What caller were you using? It's a Foxpro Fusion with an external Fp55 speaker. Great volume if needed and the best remote i have ever used. Saw some cool stuff for sure like this picture I made of a refueling aircraft fueling a helicopter in flight while I was sitting on stand calling.

Might invest in one of those callers? how do you like 22 creed??? There is a reason Foxpro has dominated to ecaller market since they started selling the old 416B The 22 Creedmoor is the real deal and I have enjoyed the the heck out mine.
