Buddy is taking me to his place this weekend to weed out some hogs. He claims in Oklahoma you don't have to have a hunting license to hunt hogs. Any truth to that?

True, as long as there is not an active deer gun season. Dont think that starts till the 19th

I hunt a lot in OK. The 19th for gun season is correct. You do not have to have a license to hunt hogs.

Perfect gonna make this a cheap trip. There are some other intentions too. They are loosing a few people after this season so I'd bet he's trying to get me on.

Non-Resident License: On private lands, you do not need a hunting license to take wild hogs, except during firearms big game seasons (muzzleloader, all deer gun seasons and elk season), hunters must possess a filled or unfilled deer or elk license appropriate for that current season unless exempt. On public land, you will need a hunting license ($280.00) and during the regular firearms deer seasons (muzzleloader, all deer gun seasons and elk season) on WMAs open during these seasons, you must possess either a filled or unfilled deer license appropriate for those seasons
