Finally get a chance to head home this weekend since moving to Arizona. Going out to our place south of Throckmorton to see if I can fling an arrow at something. Anybody have reports on activity that way?

Check out my SW Young county pics in this Deer Hunting thread about 3 miles from Throckmorton. With everything green and still warm, looks like a lot of nighttime and early morning activity. Bachelor buck groups have appearedly broken up now too. Good luck.

Appreciate the info. Hopefully I'll get a chance to draw blood. If nothing else I'll be able to get things set up for when I'm back in the state for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Had a buck chasing a doe this past weekend, but doe wasn't interested. Had a spike buck with urine soaked hocks come through as well, near Newcastle. not quite throckmorton co. but close.
Lots of nocturnal activity this week with the warm weather, but next weekend cold front might get them moving. Don't have much hope for youth weekend this weekend, but will still take the youngest out and see what we can get.

Saw 6 does out in the wheat field, there's lots a groceries for them so nothing came to corn. Came across a 4ft rattlebug on my way back to the cabin.
Hopefully my trip back for thanksgiving will result in a full freezer.

Stopping off at our place on the way back from Arizona this week. Anybody seeing any activity in Throckmorton County, or neighboring places?
