I agree. How does it shoot? You may think it's flimsy but most of the new injection molded stocks today are engineered with splines in the forend to keep it rigid enough. Savage also piller beds their stocks. I have a Stainless LightWeight Hunter that weighs 5.5 lbs. I thought the stock was cheap and needed replacement when I first bought it. I've been to the range 4 times with it and it always shoots sub MOA. Does it feel and good as my rifles that wear a McMillan? Hell no, but it's just as accurate.

The gun shoots fine but everything can always be better. That's the addiction right? Plan would be a new stock then some bolt work.

I may just have to buy the full length hogue. Has to be better then factory Tupperware. The factory stock and bolt are the only things I don't love on the gun. They are also easily fixable with a little money. When it comes to my hunting rifles I don't buy/sell much so I'm ok with puting money into this one. Ar's, carbines, pistols, etc I don't tend to put much money into because I don't hold on long before selling or trading off.

Certainly true. Tinkering is fun, I looked hard at replacing mine but it shoots too good. I like the Hog Hunter. I think you made a great choice. Good luck to you.

I went down the Internet worm hole last night. Taking some of your guys advice and going to fill the stock with arrow shafts and epoxy. If decide down the road, I'll have to go all the way with a BandC and DBM. Price starts compounding at that point

I think you are creating problem that doesn't exist and modifying your stock with epoxy and arrow shafts sounds like a recipe for disaster. You are likely to create a real problem. I say this humbly and with the best intentions. Whatever you decide, i wouldn't do anything to it until after hunting season so you have 9 months to figure it out. Best of luck.
