Getting a .284 win built and saw NORMA is producing .284 brass and was wondering if I should buy NORMA or just get the Lapua 6.5x284 and resize. Anyone use .284 brass yet? I've heard the 6mm dasher guys are having issues with the NORMA.

I have a .284 and use the Norma brass. My shooting buddy also has a 284 and uses Lapua. We're both around 4 firings on our brass and neither brand is worse for wear. The Norma brass is definitely more consistent out of the package. We measured every piece in a comparator and it doesn't vary more than a couple thousandths. My buddy is buying Norma once his brass is cooked.
Haha yea I polished that thing for hours.

It's not a deal breaker but you might take your reamer/chamber dimensions into consideration. What is the OD of the loaded round with each type of brass relative to your chamber diameter. If one is dramatically thinner than the other, that might be less than ideal. Example - If one is .008 different, and the other is .003-.004 you're better off with the .004 difference.
