Nogalus...correct me if I'm wrong Didn't you kill a desert sheep? My hat's off to you! That's an accomplishment to be proud of They wouldn't be special if everyone could kill them! Sheephunter I still want to know where your elk came from...he's a nice one!!!..nothing like a monster bull coming off the mountain or canyon !

The next batch we will have 15/16 basically as close as pure as we can get. Those Rams very well might be accepted as Desert Bighorns for both groups and not be so susceptible to diseases. 😉 That would be cool, if it works out as hoped. Have you been/are you in contact with the Texas Bighorn Society and the TPWD desert bighorn folks? I'm just curious what they might have to say about the hybrid program. I was fortunate enough to draw a tag a few years ago and hunt them at Sierra Diablo. Those desert sheep are truly special animals.
